On Saturday, January 22, 2011, the Teen Sunday School Class embarked upon a new mission. In conjunction with Bishop Jackson's vision to "go North," and to "evangelize to people everywhere," the teens committed to service. On the fourth Saturday of each month for the year 2011, LWCD will "serve" cooperatively with Urban Ministries. The teen class will be "serving" the homeless at a soup kitchen in Salisbury, MD. Monthly, they will go to Salisbury, MD and serve approximately 250 men, women, and children. The meals are prepared in cooperation with a church that is local to Salisbury. The teens will assist with serving the meals, clean up, assisting with reading, packing food bags, packing hygiene kits, and performing acts as they are lead by the Holy Spirit. This will be an exciting year as, "this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes." (Scroll down to see the photo album)
